Puppy Class Online & Outdoor Group Training

Course runs for 5 weeks and is structured as follows:

  • 1 x hour long one-on-one Zoom covering set-up, toilet training, nipping and biting, independence training and any other issues specific to your home environment

  • 4 x weekly sets of videos with detailed demonstrations of the training exercises for that week

  • 4 x weekly outdoor group classes

  • Comprehensive written notes on all topics covered

  • Extra video content on socialisation (good play, body language, environmental habituation, the use of food toys and more?

  • WhatsApp for uploading videos to me for help along the way

What is covered:

All the cues your puppy needs to promote co-operative behaviour for life, made fun (see below). Early behavioural training exercises to prevent difficult to deal with behaviours commonly seen in older dogs from developing.

Just some of the exercises and content covered:

  • Sit, stay, walk on a loose leash, drop, leave it, let go, retrieve, eye contact, hi five

  • Come in any situation - off leash and under heavy distraction

  • Independence training (separation distress prevention

  • Emotional self-regulation exercises

  • Impulse control

  • Sit to greet instead of jumping up,  sitting for food until released, not rushing through doors

  • Attention exercises

  • Toilet training & set up of house tailored to your specific environment

  • Socialisation and environmental habituation done properly (aggression prevention)

  • Food and possession aggression prevention

  • Training for grooming and vet handling

  • How to identify and correctly handle fear behaviours in your puppy to help them become confident, happy dogs

Individual coaching sessions allow plenty of time to work on issues specific to your puppy in your home environment. We also cover ways to overcome the special challenges of adopting a puppy at this time (under-socialisation and separation distress being just two). And much, much more!

Cost is $320

Upon registration you will receive all the written material for the entire course and the first set of training videos so you can get going right away, and book in times for your weekly one-on-one’s!
